About TRAFFIK

The premier Minneapolis based SEO & Internet Marketing Co.

A Minneapolis based online marketing firm specializing in:

TRAFFIK was started to provide an honest approach to online marketing. Our team has an extensive background working with and for advertising agencies, marketing firms, web development organizations, ecommerce companies and in-house marketing teams. Along our collective work travels we picked up online marketing, first as a hobby and later as an added value service to customers. Working with and for several different SEO companies, we noticed a huge gap between pricing, services, approach, gauging, ROI and, most importantly, success in all of these companies. At TRAFFIK we do what is best for the customer and set realistic and measurable goals. We do not lock partners into service agreements as we believe you should fire us if you don’t get results. Our aim is to build long term relationships with clients and (as our entire business is referrals) we do what is in our clients’ best interest.

FAQ

Why should I choose you over another online marketing company?

Good question. There are numerous SEO, SEM and online marketing firms out there and I’m sure they’ll all tell you they’re the best. What sets us at TRAFFIK apart from the clutter is:

  • Personalized plan
Each client gets a personalized SEO plan that fits their business needs. What we would do for a realtor in St. Paul is completely different than what we would do for a chain car rental center in Edina. Many firms take a one size fits all approach that will not produce the same results we can.
  • Transparency and monthly reporting
We will send you a personalized ranking report each month so you can monitor our progress. We will show you each targeted keyword, if it’s gone up or down, and by how much. This is how you will hold us accountable and gauge your ROI.
  • 6 month reviews
Every 6 months we take a fresh look at your campaign and (where applicable) target new keywords once your goals have been met with other keywords.
  • 100% U.S. based company
Many online firms have sales in the U.S. but ship all programming, link building and technical work to India to be completed. We do not do this.
  • No spun content
All content we create is original. Many firms offer 1,000’s of links for a shockingly low cost. This approach used to work a few years ago but is simply no longer the case. This is a black hat SEO trick and, as with all tricks or shortcuts, search engines figure out how to devalue them.
  • A history of success
We have references – call them or read our case studies. View our clients
  • In-house content writers
We have in-house, dedicated SEO content writers that learn your business and provide valuable, keyword-rich content on a continual basis. Most firms employ overseas based SPAM content writers or copywriters who do not know how to write SEO friendly copy.

What are keywords and why are they important?

Keywords are typically 2 to 5 word phrases that you would expect a person to type into a search engine to find what they are looking for, e.g. “iPhone case covers”. Keywords are an important part of your internet marketing strategy because your potential customers type keywords into search engines to find you online.

What is keyword targeting and how does it create more website traffic?

Keyword targeting is the process of finding which sets of keywords are most effective at bringing up your website’s content on search engines such that your site:

  • receives high levels of quality traffic
  • converts visitors into sales (conversions)

As a general rule of thumb, a shorter set of key words is very broad and more competitive, e.g. “shirt”, will bring up millions of results on Google, which means many sites contain this keyword by default. Targeting a longer, more specific set of keywords, e.g. “shirt printing in Minneapolis”, can be more effective at driving traffic because there is less competition and is more likely to result in a higher conversion rate.

Studies also show that longer keyword phrases make up most of the keyword traffic that websites receive. As another general rule: shorter key word searchers are “shoppers” and longer keyword searchers are “buyers” – and most of the time it makes more sense to target “buyers”.

Why are links so important when it comes to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

The number, quality and relevance of in-bound links that point to your site from other websites is directly correlated to how visible your website is in the search engine results pages. As you acquire more strong, relevant links (similar to votes) you will see a higher level of visibility.

If I invest in Search Engine Optimization, how long before I see a positive ROI?

Depending on your business model and the type of website that you have, a return on your online marketing investment typically takes between 3-6 months, sometimes shorter and sometimes a little longer.
